Take a look at Indian handicrafts.

Kolkata, India Sunset in the City of Joy

India is rich in works of art. Visitors to the country are often bothered to decide what handicrafts they take with them. The choices are many, varied and often inexpensive.

Humayun's Tomb, New Delhi, India From busy college schedule i and my friend decided to explore the all the historical places in New Delhi so i picked up my camera, then took a public transport to reach the destination our first stop was Humanyun tomb. This picture was taken by me using Nikon D5300 and of tripod

The best quality goods are often found in bazaars that live in larger cities such as Delhi, Mumbai (Bombay), Kolkata (Calcutta) and Chennai (Madras). Literally thousands of places - between quaint shops and street stalls - sell handicrafts to visitors.

Rajasthan and Kashmir are the two largest handicraft manufacturers for mass distribution. In Rajasthan, fabrics, jewellery, glass, ceramics, carpets and camel leather products can be purchased. Products made in Kashmir are dominated by rugs, shawls and embroidery. These are often considered to be the best quality products.

Many tribal communities in India produce unusual handicrafts that are popular with tourists. These artisans include the wire animal Takashi of Orissa and the large bronze statues of Nagaland. The Himalayan areas produce huge amounts of silver, turquoise and coral jewellery.

Dzukou Valley, Nagaland, India The place resides in north-eastern part of India, spread across Nagaland and Manipur. It takes 5 hours of trekking to reach this place, and by the time you do its already late in the evening, so no sight-seeing.You rest for the night in a guesthouse at the top of the hill. As the chill of the morning wakes you up and you go out see the first light and feel its warmth, you surprising get this spectacular breathtaking view. Every time I look at the picture, it reminds me of that morning, that calm atmosphere, the fresh air, the rich colors of nature, a true paradise far away from reality.

Indian jewellery stores specialize in shiny 22-carat gold. Many local tribes trade in traditional silver jewellery for the more widely preferred gold. Jewellers have silver jewellery in bags that the pound can sell. Trays, cups and plates are processed from brass and copper. The best of these is located in Varanasi.

Mentioning handicrafts in India would not be complete without mentioning Bidriwork, which is a speciality of Aurangabad and Hyderabad. This handcrafted matte gun leather alloy is finely plated with silver and gold. It is then used to make boxes, vases and hugs, or water pipes. These will surely be given to everyone who receives them.

Amritsar, India The past couple of days, I spent my time in Amritsar, Punjab which happens to a historically super significant place in India’s independence struggle against the Brits, a Mecca of the Sikhs and foodies paradise since majority of the North Indian dishes originate from here. Here is one photo of The Golden Temple, the most important religious site for the Sikhs. Apart from being a religious site, it also serves free, volunteer driven meals throughout the day and is the largest free kitchen in the world with over 100,000 delicious 3 course meals on a daily basis.

This article only touches on the rich handicraft culture of India. Spend a lot of time looking at the variety and choosing. You are sure to find the perfect souvenir for your trip to India.

Want To Play Golf? Try These Tips

Golf is one of the best sports ever invented. Golf is all about patience, refinement, skill, and power. Playing golf takes great dedication and determination to make oneself a better player. If you would like to be a better golf player, then follow the tips in this article.

By experimenting, you can find the best way to stand while playing. Proper stance is key, but it can vary depending on your height, size, and even gender. When you find the proper stance for you, your game will improve.

A helpful tip when it comes to golf is to make sure that you realize that each person is different and certain techniques that work for them might not apply to you. This is important in being able to determine your best form as well as when you provide advice to other people.

Remember that your grip on your golf club has a simple, direct impact on the way your ball flies. A grip that is too tight sends your ball off-course to the right. If your grip is too loose, expect to see your ball heading left. Fine-tune your grip pressure to get exactly the results you desire.

Remember that your hips and arms need to work together in a good golf swing. They should move simultaneously. While your arms bring the club down, your hips should already be swivelling out of the way. Learning to properly coordinate your upper and lower body will provide much-improved swing performance.

Make sure that you stay in designated areas if you are driving a golf cart. This is very important so that you do not harm the course, as well as for the safety of you and the other golfers.

To avoid a slice, try to swing at the ball from the inside-out. This will keep the ball from moving outside and away in a drifting arc, outside the path of most fairways. Slices also take away from your drive distance and accuracy and should be avoided. One tactic for avoiding the slice is to keep your left arm straight until impact.

As previously stated in the article above, golf is one of the best sports invented. Golf takes patience, power, skill, and refinement to play. In order to become a better golf player, one must have determination and dedication. If you use the tips from this article, then you can become a better golf player.

Kerala backwaters

Alappuzha, Kerala, India Houseboats floating over the Alleyppey / AlapphuzhaBackwaters and its not salty water.

From north to south, the dreamy, watery expanse recognised for Kuttanad stretches forty-six miles, from Cochi to Alappuzha to Kollam and on land to Kottayam. This area boasts 930 miles of waterways. Meandering channels edged by means of lush vegetation, groves of coconut and banana palms and rice fields connect with wide-open rivers and lagoons.  Life strikes slowly in these parts.

This area offers a charming insight into the rural lifestyle of its inhabitants.  Colourful thatched or tiled homes cluster together in small communities, complete with worship centres, banks and hospitals that count on water ambulances.

Tourists can reach this area by boat - organised tours and ferries. Buses travel near the city. We plan to spend a lot of time no matter which path we choose. Transportation in this place is equivalent to slow lives.

If you have extra money, you would possibly consider spending a night or two at the Coconut Lagoon, a complex resort built in the grandest of regular Keralan architecture.  Nearby is an old colonial house recognised as the Taj Garden Retreat.  Both of these places offer sundown cruises in converted cargo boats and overnight excursions on houseboats.  Not a wrong way to explore this beautiful area.

January, July, August and September are the months given by the Alappuzha snake boat races. On these occasions, there are boats introduced by hundreds of guys, each competing at peak performance on the region’s waterways. The most famous of these is the Nehru Trophy Race, which takes place every year on the second Sunday in August. Forty enormously decorated boats compete in this race and are often accompanied through naval helicopters showing their prowess.  Crowds are significant for this every year event, and anyone who is in the region solely for the races would never guess how laid-again life is typically in the backwater area.

What To Look For In A Best Trout-Fishing Area

No matter what type of fishing you'd like to do, you won't be any good at it until you know what you're doing. Fortunately, and despite popular belief, fishing is not that difficult a sport to tackle. Read on for the best tips on fishing, and you'll be on your way to becoming a great fisherman.

Fishing should always be undertaken with a group of people who understand the importance of quiet. Unlike many other sports, fishing requires long periods with no sound at all and very little movement. This helps to lure the fish closer to your spot without scaring them off.

A good fishing tip is to use a line weight that is as light as possible but will still allow you to safely reel in your fish. If the line is visible and heavy, that means that it is a thick line. You want the right weighted line for the kind of fish you are trying to catch.

It is important to remember not to count your fish before they are caught. This means that even if you feel a big pull on your rod, don't get too excited until the fish is completely pulled in. There are still several things that could go wrong, so you don't want to end up disappointed.

Pay attention to your knots. The knots in the fishing line are what hold your hooks to your line. It doesn't matter how many fish you catch if the hooks come free from the line under pressure—practice knots with thread or other material at home before you take to the waterways.

When fishing, you should always be quiet. Noises are the best way to scare fish away and ruin a day of fishing. Therefore, it is important to sit quietly and speak quietly.

It is generally a great idea for anyone who catches and releases to keep a disposable camera in their tackle box. These cameras are cheap and will allow you to take pictures of all your catches without worrying about losing expensive camera equipment. It is a great way to document your best catches.

Now that you've read this article, you should be prepared to take that first fishing trip. Use the advice that you've gleaned from this article to make it a successful trip. With a bit of practice, you'll soon be able to brag about the huge fish you caught, instead of lamenting about the one that got away.

India music and dance

Buddha Park, Ravangla, Sikkim, India This grand park is also known as Tathagata Tsal. The Buddha statue is the fourth-tallest statue in India.

There is plenty of music and dance in India. For the beauty of travelling to the country, they enjoy this, never realizing that music and dance are immersed in history, and every movement conveys a message. Worship rituals often involve dances performed hundreds of years ago. Every step, gesture and musical note has meaning, though it is delicious. Dances or Indian art.

Rajasthan is one of the richest regions for folk dances, dedicated songs and music. In brightly coloured costumes, professional tribal performers entertain visitors and residents of the area. Their performances include fire dances, standing dramas, cymbals and drum dances. All this is, of course, accompanied by haunting ballads and handicrafts.

It comes from the sung hymn of the holy Vedas, and music has evolved to express the rhythms of the seasons and agricultural work and has been associated with dance forms to celebrate the harvest, greet a particular period, or worship a particular god.

First, these dances were performed in Hindu and Jain temples. Over time, however, church leaders saw dances as too suggestive, and ritual dancing was banned in churches. Today, these traditional dances are performed only in his churches at a three-year event. The Khajuraho Dance Festival is held in early March. In December, there are two festivals, the Konark Dance Festival and the Mamallapuram Dance Festival. Visitors to India can rarely enjoy attending one of the festivals during these times.

Two forms of dance worship are mentioned: Kathakali and Odissi. Kathakali in Kerala is a dance form made for men only. The performers wear colourful costumes, and the dances are full of intense dramas. Odissi is an ancient dance form of Orissa. The performers unfold ancient myths in extravagant costumes, accompanied by musicians and singers. These dances are often seen at the Konark Dance Festival in November.

The best ways to plan travel plans ........

Before a person is ready to travel, many things need to be done, in a short amount of time, before he or she, actually gets going. Fortunately, by reading the tips in this article, you can better prioritize before you are about to start your travels, wherever that may be.

When booking flights for travel, always select your specific seat in advance. This ensures that you will get the seat you want, be it aisle, window, or emergency exit row. It also helps prevent you from getting bumped to standby in the event of an overbooking, since your seat assignment is locked in.

If you're purchasing souvenirs as gifts while travelling, be creative. You can use a local newspaper as gift wrap to give it a special touch. This works especially well if the newspaper is in a foreign language or has photographs. Other low-cost souvenir gifts include matchbooks, coasters and clean napkins.

Check prices directly with your hotel or airline company to save money on your trip. Although it is often small, some search engine sites add a fee to their rates. To avoid the fee, check the airline website directly or give the hotel a call for their rates. You will typically find that the rates are lower when you book directly.

Do not travel with wrapped gifts. When travelling for the holidays, it is tempting to get things done ahead of time and wrap all of your gifts, but don't! The TSA does not allow wrapped gifts onto airlines, and they may need to unwrap the gifts to inspect their contents.

On your next flight, chew gum to keep your ears from popping on take off. The pressure changes during a flight can pop your ears. This is not particularly painful. It is, however, rather annoying. Before take-off, start chewing a stick of gum. This will often prevent your ears from popping or at least, ease the pressure.

To bring everything you need on your trip, you need to have reliable luggage. If your luggage is old or cannot contain everything you need, you should go buy new luggage. Do not hesitate to buy expensive luggage. The quality guarantees that your belongings will be protected and good luggage should last you for years.

Travelling to a foreign country can be fun, but not knowing what the locals are saying is not. Carry a small book of common phrases and translations to help you on your trip. This can really help when you need to ask for directions or book a hotel room for the night.

If you're on vacation and you arrive at the hotel only to find out that you left the charger to your cell phone, video game, tablet, or whatever at home, don't panic! Go down to the front desk and ask nicely if they have one you can use. Most hotels have a box of chargers that past guests have left behind, and you can probably find one that fits your device.

Keeping organized during the hectic schedule that you can often experience, right before you are about to travel ensures that you do not forget any key item that you want to take with you. As things get chaotic before you leave, you will need to remain level-headed.

Muslim music in India

Isha Yoga Center Road, Booluvampatti, Tamil Nadu, India The first yogi!

While dominated by Hindu dancers in India, it has a very Muslim population and contributes to the rich diversity of Indian music. While Hindu music revolves primarily around dance, Muslim music is based on instrumental pieces, and sound and dance are secondary.

String instruments include the sitar, which was discovered in the thirteenth century, a smaller version of it, called sarod, and sarangi. Sarangi is considered one of the hardest points in the world as its forty-plus strings are held by the nails. Santoor, a zither of Persian origin, is also used.

Shahnai is the main wind instrument. This is similar to an oboe. Bamboo flutes are also often played. Percussion sounds dominate the tabla, the invention of which is attributed to the creator of the donkey.

The court of the Turks and the Mughals established the tradition of the ragas, the melodic structures between the five and twelve notes in which the musicians improvise. These are determined and played depending on the time of day and the season, and their suitability for a masculine or feminine audience.

Each horn consists of several movements. Traditionally, each would have lasted for hours, but modern warnings have shortened them. The last movement, which is divided into three parts, brings together the percussion instruments of the sound and rhythm pattern.

Although instrumental works have traditionally been male and women have contributed as singers, women are now embarking on the instrumental part of performances.

South Indian Carnatic music originated in Thanjavur, and although it follows the structure of the horn, it uses a more vivid and modified version of traditional instruments.

The very big music festivals are held in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Mumbai, Madra. The Gwalior Tansen Festival is highlighted every December. The visit to India will not end without listening to the performance of the traditional musical form.

Lots of festivals

Behind the scenes

No matter if you are visiting India, you should enjoy the opportunity to experience one of the many festivals. There are festivals dedicated to the gods, seasonal agricultural celebrations, political events, camels, elephants, and many other reasons that offer Indians the opportunity to celebrate and reintroduce centuries-old customs.

In India, every religious group has a calendar of higher festivals. For Hindus, the beginning of winter is marked by Diwali, a festival of lights that inspires the lighting of millions of oil lamps and firecrackers outside the house. They celebrate the arrival at the home of Rama's hero and his wife, Sila. Prayers are given to Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, and boxes of sweets are exchanged between friends and family members. This five-day festival is all about Christmas.

In the spring, the Holi Festival will be a festival where coloured water and paint will scatter, so most people who undertake outside will be pink, blue and silver. North India, in particular, is enjoying this festival.

In addition, specific gods enjoy their festivals throughout the year.

The Muslim community is holding significant celebrations for Id-E-Milad, Mohammed's birthday, Islamic New Year and Idul Fitr, a celebration that will quickly end the 28-day Ramadan.

The Sikhs honour all ten of their gurus every year, with parades to the gurudwaras. Places of worship, reading and celebrating the Holy Grant.

The largest Jain festival celebrates the birth of the religious quarters, Mahavira, in April. Buddha's birthday in May will be marked by large parades at the full moon in Sarnath and Bodh Nova.

The Pushkar Camel Fair is one of the most popular regional festivals. There is too rare a glimpse of a visitor to the exotic side of India across the country. The camel is not the only animal that enjoys festivals - cows and elephants themselves enjoy it.
